Mr. Steven Solecki, formerly of Bayview and Milwaukee, passed away at his residence in Saukville on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. He was 65 years old. Steven was born on Milwaukee on February 6, 1953, son of Al Solecki and Vivian Grossman.

He attended local schools, graduating from West Division High School in 1971. On May 20, 1972, he was united in marriage with Deborah Wilson. The couple lived in Milwaukee and had two sons.

He had worked in Shipping and Receiving at Eaton Corporation for almost 20 years, and most recently had worked in the Shipping department for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, located in Brookfield, retiring in 2016 after 20 years on the job. Shortly following his retirement, Steven moved to Port Washington and later to Saukville in May of 2017.

Mr. Solecki was an avid movie watcher and especially liked the science fiction genre; he also enjoyed comic books, video games, photography, shopping and adding items to his favorite collections. He understood the value of technology and computers long before it was “cool”, and taught his sons computer-based skills when they were young. Steve was also fond of spending time at the shooting range.

He loved spending his free time with his sons, and most recently, his grandson. Steven is survived by his sons Vincent (Jodi) Solecki of Waukesha & Donald Solecki of Waubeka and grandson Logan of Green Bay. He is further survived by his special friends Ronald Swanson and Denise Sobocinski, both of Milwaukee, former wife Deborah (James) Pirwitz of Waubeka, other family and friends.
