Obituary for Sue Thurman Sue “Nan” Eidson Thurman, 80, of Surgoinsville, went to meet Jesus on Sunday, October 21, 2018. She was an active member of Surgoinsville First Baptist Church for many years. She served on the hospitality committee for several years.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Charlie and Opal Eidson; brothers, George Eidson, Jess, Albert, Claud, Tom, and Ron; sisters, Leola Horn, Mary Ann Jaynes. She leaves behind her husband, Don Thurman; son, Mike Thurman and very special friend Darla of Rogersville; step daughter, Valerie Luzzi of Murrells Inlet, SC; three grandsons, Trae Thurman of the home, James Luzzi (Air Force), and Joe Luzzi of Murrells Inlet, SC; siblings, Jackie McIntire of MO, Ruth William and husband Don of Rogersville, John Eidson and Yvonne of Church Hill. She left behind many friends from the church and community.

Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for the care given to Sue, and for the food and prayers and visits from her church family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Surgoinsville First Baptist Church.

Memorial services will follow at 8:00 pm with Pastor Tecky Hicks officiating. Christian-Sells Funeral Home of Rogersville is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.
