Hermitage, TN: Mary Lou Scott VanCleave, age 86, passed in Peace, Monday, November 5, 2018 at Charter Senior Living in Hermitage, Tennessee. Formerly of Rogersville, Tennessee, she was active in Hasson Chapter No. 179 Order of the Eastern Star, Boy Scouts, Rogersville High School Band Boosters, Friends at Play, Story Time at Rogersville Public Library, and Rogersville United Methodist Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Celton VanCleave; parents, Thomas and Nannie Pearl Scott, and sister, Myrtle Alice Scott. She is survived by her children, Thomas, Alice Quaintance (David), Ann Hunley (William), John and Joe; grandchildren, Jennifer Dwulet, Allison Blair (Daniell), and Scott (Melissa); great-granddaughters, Lily Dwulet and Reagan Blair; several nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, November 30, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Memorial service will be conducted 7:00 P.M., Friday, November 30, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles Harrison officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rogersville United Methodist Church Manna Kitchen, 110 Colonial Rd.
