Obituary for Barbara Tucker Barbara Tucker, 80, of Rogersville, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at The Serenity House in Morristown. Barbara was born on March 29, 1938 in Woodbury, Va. and married Bobby C. Tucker on December 24, 1955.

She was a devoted wife and mother, working alongside Bob in many of his entrepreneurial endeavors including Three Springs Boat Dock, Barbara’s Home Interiors, BandB Trucking and BandB Box Building and others, but mostly, she was a mother to Greg and a grandmother to Shelbey and Jonah. Although she was typically very quiet, she was very social and witty, enjoying her family, her Church, and her many friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Barbara was preceded in death by Bob, her husband of 57 years; her parents, Mae and Kelly Boatright; and two brothers, Teddy Ray Boatright and James C. Boatright. She is survived by her son, Greg Tucker of Columbia, MO; two grandchildren, Shelbey Tucker of St. Louis and 1st Lt. Jonah Tucker based at Camp Pendleton, CA; her brother, Creed Boatright of Crofton, MD; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Barbara’s name to the “The Serenity House” at 421 N. High Street, Morristown, TN, 37813. A visitation and brief service will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm Sunday at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap, Va.
