Knoxville: Cleo M. Blackwell, age 101, passed away on December 25, 2018 at West Hills Health and Rehabilitation, Knoxville TN, after an extended illness. Mrs. Blackwell was a graduate of East Tennessee State University, a teacher in Carter County for 15 years and Rogersville City Schools for 22 years and a member of Rogersville First Baptist Church. Those preceding her in death: husband, Max L. Blackwell; parents James A. Morrell, Sr. and Belle Miller Morrell; siblings, A.T., James, Joseph W., John and Delia Morrell, and Lavisa Hood.

She is survived by children, Michael Blackwell and wife Kay, and Debbie Weed and husband Stuart; grandchildren, Callie Church and husband Justin, Kelly Weed, Jessica Hemphill and husband, John Serrao, and Rachel Hemphill; great-grandchild, Benjamin Jenkins; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation hours will be 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon. , Friday, December 28, 2018 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be conducted 12:00 Noon, Friday, December 28, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Scott Price officiating. The burial will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park, 2708 Elizabethton Hwy, Johnson City, at 3:00 P.M. Online condolences may be made at www.
