Rogersville: George C. Swinford, age 92 of Rogersville, passed away, Friday, December 28, 2018 at his residence. He was a member of Rogersville Church of Christ. Mr. Swinford was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mac and Flora Tackett Swinford; grandson, Tony Stonerock; sisters, Loretta Salter, Monty Robinson and Janet Swinford; brothers, Buster Swinford and Arthur Glen Swinford. He is survived by his wife, Polly Williams Swinford; step-daughters, Jacqueline E. Nelson and husband, Bart of Rogersville, Mary Netta Emmert of Buffalo, MO; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be conducted 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Ezell Family Cemetery with Rev.
