Gladys Anderson, October 08, 1924 — November 15, 2018

Obituary for Gladys Anderson Gladys Anderson, 94, of Rogersville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 15, 2018, after a very brief illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a friend to all. She was a member of East Rogersville Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School Class, The Living Faith Ladies Class.

Mrs. Anderson loved helping others. She worked at the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Department as an officer, dispatcher, and cook for at least 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Anderson; parents, Henry and Martha Hensley; son, Danny Anderson; and daughter-in-law, Jolynn Anderson.

She is survived by her son, Larry Anderson; daughter, Debbie Manis (Lynn) of Rogersville; grandchildren, Jennifer Michel, Christy Dorton, Rachel Evans, Sarah Dykes, and Rebecca Manis; great grandchildren, Charity and Mary Grace Winegar, Taylor and Dylan Evans, Dakota Manis, and Drew Michel; and her beloved pet, Abby. We would like to thank the staff of Hawkins County Memorial Hospital for the kindness and care shown to Gladys while in the hospital. Monetary donations may be given to The Living Faith Ladies Class at East Rogersville Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville, or anytime at the home of Jennifer Michel, 300 Taylor St, Rogersville. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm with Rev. Jason Royston and Rev.

Doug Seymour officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Highland Cemetery with Rev. John Parrott officiating.
