Obituary for Susan M. Kocks Carrollton Twp. , Michigan Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Harrison Campus. Age 63 years.

The daughter of the late Alfred and Bettie (Cramer) Lewis, Susan was born on October 14, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Dennis Kocks on November 29, 1975. He survives her.

Susan had a profound love for her family and extended family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was proud and excited to attend as many of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She enjoyed crocheting.

Surviving besides her husband Dennis are three children, Jason Kocks and his significant other, Tarah Lapine and her daughter Evangeline; Jennifer Kocks and Trisha (Mark) Stabek; four grandchildren, Amber Rose, Jamie Lynn, Eric James and Mark James; her siblings, Alfred Lewis, Ronda (Phillip) Warmbier, Nina (Harold) Jackson, Rickie Lewis and Sandra (Michael) Dupuis; her mother-in-law, Lillian “Betty” Haas; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Thelma Lewis; a sister-in-law, Lydia Lewis; her father-in-law, Carl F. Kocks, Jr. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty).

Pastor Jeanne Lapine will officiate with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family.
