Obituary for Charles A. Stahler Charles Austin Stahler, age 70, of St. Charles, passed away September 14, 2018. The son of Austin and Ruth Stahler, Charles was born June 12, 1948, in Batavia, New York. Charles graduated from Valparaiso University in 1971, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity.

He was a certified and registered financial planner for 50 years and a former instructor at Delta College. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and general outdoor enthusiast. Charles had a strong Christian faith and a great love for his daughters.

Charles is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Gary) Hughes and Laura (Michael) McRitchie; grandchildren, Lauren and Jack Hughes, Noah, Paige, and Hannah McRitchie; sisters, Marilyn (Doug) Hutto, Charlane (the late Clint) Webb, and Sharon Stahler; three nephews, and cousins. Charles was preceded in death by his nephew, Charlie Webb; parents and his wife, Robin Stahler. There are no services planned at this time.
