Obituary for Joyce LaPorte Saginaw, Michigan Loving mother and grandmother passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. 84 years. Joyce had been employed as a Nurse Aide for St. Luke’s Hospital for over 25 years retiring in 1997.

She loved to shop, play bingo but her greatest enjoyment was to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren. Joyce was very fond of animals and their well-being. Surviving are one daughter and one son, Susan Long, Saginaw; Kenneth LaPorte, Saginaw; four grandchildren, Karrie Long, Louis Long, Joshua LaPorte and Kristen LaPorte; three great-grandchildren, Cassandra Long, Addilyn Charlton and Aliyah Charlton, four great-great grandchildren.

A Graveside service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 E. Holland Rd. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Saginaw County Animal Shelter. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
