Obituary for Ronald A. Wilson Tawas City, Michigan Beloved husband and father passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at his home in Tawas City, Michigan. Age 81 years. The son of the late Alden and Kathryn (Walsh) Wilson, Ron was born on December 6, 1936 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He graduated from Marion High School. Ron served in the United States Army Special Forces Berlin Detachment. He married Judith Lagalo on January 25, 1986.

She survives him. Ron received his Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University and then went on to receive his Masters of Business Administration from Michigan State University. He worked for many years at Michigan National Bank and then Adrian State Bank.

Following his retirement, Ron and Judi moved to Tawas and he was employed part time at Northland Credit Union as a Business Loan Consultant. He was an avid reader, marathon runner, downhill skier and was a master gardener. Ron was a member and greeter at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oscoda.

Surviving besides his wife Judi are two daughters, Janice (Martin) Frankovich, Lansing; Deborah Van Vleet, Pewee Valley, Kentucky; four grandsons, Matthew and Jared Frankovich, Nathaniel and Collin Wilson; brother, Karl (Linda Sterling) Wilson, Mecosta; Richard (Sue) Wilson, Grand Marias; sister-in-law, Sandra Wilson, Marion; an aunt, Alice Carr, Tempe, Arizaona; brother-in-law, David (Janet) Rousseu Lagalo. Ron was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Wilson; a grandson, Aaron Wilson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clement and Marie Lagalo; his sister-in-law, Dorinda Wilson. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5300 N. US 23, Oscoda, Michigan.

Rev. Fr. Tyler Bischoff will officiate.

Private interment will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Friends of Tawas Library, Augustine Retreat Center or Franciscan Fathers. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , Saginaw.
