Susan Marie Peterson, age 57 of Viroqua passed away on Tuesday, June 12th, 2018 at the Gunderson Health System in La Crosse. She was born on May 5, 1961 in Conway, Arkansas to Robert and Elizabeth (Travis) Peterson. The family moved to Viroqua in 1972 and Susan graduated from Viroqua High School in 1979.

She worked at NCR in Viroqua and then moved to Sharon and Delevan, where she worked at Telecom and Roadmaster, returning to Viroqua in 2010. She learned to knit from her mother and became an avid knitter. Susan is survived by her father, Robert Peterson of Viroqua, two brothers; Armin Peterson of Viroqua, Iver Peterson of Stoddard, one sister, Mari (Ed) Chacon of Santa Fe, NM, six nieces and nephews; Merten, Levi, Kathleen (Ryan) Zietlow, Evan Peterson, Zachary (Monica) Chacon, and Aryne Chacon.

She is also survived by two great nephews, David Zietlow, and Adison Chacon, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother on April 20, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 16th, 2018 at the Sharon Methodist Church in Sharon, WI with Pastor Ken Markley officiating.

Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon. Friends may call at the church after 10 a.m. on Saturday. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
