INDIANAPOLIS – Susan Martha (Singleton) Pease, 92, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, March 22, 2019 and was welcomed into heaven by His loving arms. Susan was the loving wife of William C. Pease for 70 years. Susan was the daughter of the late William Arthur Singleton and Georgia Weser.

Susan attended Arsenal Technical High School and graduated from Butler University with a degree in education. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. As Susan used to say, she got her B.S. in the morning and her MRS.

in the afternoon having graduated from Butler University on June 7, 1948 and was married in Rushville, IN that afternoon. Susan taught elementary school for several years with IPS before starting her family. Susan was an active member of Immanuel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband William C. Pease, her children William A. Pease (Cheryl), Melinda Pease Rumschlag and Jeffrey B. Pease, her grandchildren Amy, Jessa, Chris, Colin and Jillian. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy.

40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A memorial service at the mortuary will follow visitation beginning at 7:30 p.m. Rob Mifflin will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st St. #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240 or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
