Obituary for Susan T. Means Print Susan T. Means June 23, 1945 – Jan. 24, 2019 Susan T. Means, 73, Altoona passed away early Thursday morning at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late James C. and Barbara (Blake) Turnbull.

Surviving are two brothers: James (Barb) and John (Nancy) Turnbull; a sister, Ann (Joe) Baier; as well as several nephews; and a niece. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Means Jr. Susan was a first grade teacher for many years for the Altoona School District, as well as a member of the Simpson Temple United Parish. She loved to lend a hand, helping people throughout her community by volunteering whenever she could.

Most importantly, Susan loved her friends and family. She will be missed by many. Friends and family will be received for a viewing from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan.

27, 2019, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Pastor Orrin Nearhoof officiating. In lieu of flowers, it was Susan’s wishes that memorial donations be made in her name to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd. , Altoona, PA 16602.
