Susan P. Hermele, 66, of Kingston, died Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Westchester Medical Center. She was born December 16, 1951 in Kingston, NY to James and the late Patricia Gallagher. Susan graduated from the John A. Coleman High School and earned her nursing degree from the Columbia Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.

She was initially employed at the Benedictine Hospital where she met her husband to be. She married Dr. Stephen L. Hermele on April 1, 1984. She worked in his practice from 1979 to 1995, and again since 2008.

She is survived by her father, her husband, her sister Nora (Mark) Bardenett of Baldwinsville, NY, her brother Michael (Wayne) of Palm Springs, CA, her brother Peter of Kingston, and her brother Daniel of Palms Springs, CA. She is also survived by her nephews Benjamin Bardenett and Jacob Bardenett. She was known to family and friends as someone with a big heart, who counselled, encouraged and supported numerous people with love and concern.

Family and friends were very important to Susan who loved them and was loved by them. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave, with Rabbi Yitzchok Hecht, officiating. Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
