Obituary for Susan Riedel Susan M. Riedel, age 60, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019. Susan was born November 1, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late David and Mildred (Mynhier) McHugh. Also preceding her in death was her loving husband Kevin Thomas Riedel.

Susan received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and later went on to earn a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law School. For more than 25 years she served the public as a prosecutor and district judge in New Mexico. Susan loved rock collecting, hiking, bowling, art, and playing cards with friends.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her granddaughters, the “ladies of Spain”. Susan will be deeply missed by her loving children Christopher (Amy) Riedel, Jonathan (Kacey) Riedel and Patrick Riedel; granddaughters Kayla, Alexa and Rebecca Riedel; brothers Kevin McHugh and David (Adell) McHugh. A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 East Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001.
