Suzanne’s Obituary Suzanne Arie Paradis passed away on Friday, May 24th, 2019. She was born in Goldsboro N.C. on September 18th, 1945 to parents Hebron Arie and Rebecca Murchison. Suzanne was a loving sister to her older brother Edwin Arie.

Suzanne is survived by her loving husband Lawrence Julien Paradis. She was an amazing mother and friend to three children, Laura VanSchaick, Leigh Long, and Wayne Brockenbrough; two grandchildren, Haileigh VanSchaick, Cameron VanSchaick; and a great grandson, Cason Lenkiewicz. Her favorite saying was that she loved her children and grandchildren “Crack the Sky!

” Suzanne inspired all of us to try and live optimistic and passionate lives with love in our hearts. We will forever love you mom, “Crack the Sky! ” Suzanne grew up in Rocky Mount, NC and lived in several states throughout the country before settling in her favorite town of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

She was a 1969 honors graduate of Union University with a BA in psychology. She was active in the field of early childhood development by teaching Headstart programs and kindergarten, and subsequently organized and started a new church kindergarten. Suzanne touched the lives of all people she encountered with her kindness and generosity.

She volunteered with helping hands to feed the less fortunate and inspired all those involved with her beautiful smile and attitude. She had the wit, spirit and determination to fulfill livelong dreams such as moving to Myrtle Beach, showcasing her artistic talent through painting and becoming a published author. She wrote a book about her experiences growing up in a small southern town, entitled ‘The Joys and Sorrows of a Baby Boomer’ followed by ‘Men, Raccoons, and other Wildlife: A South Carolina Story’ and ‘Happiness Elevators.

’ No matter what community she resided in, Suzanne always spread love and kindness as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her lifelong cheerful sense of humor accompanied by positive attitudes in life’s struggles never wavered. Suzanne’s commitment to share such passionate support provided lasting encouragement to all who knew her.
