Teresa Gay Warner, 63, of Newton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the Hospice Comfort House in Pella. No services are scheduled at this time. The Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the cremation.

Memorials to the Hospice Comfort House in Pella may be left at the funeral home. Gay, the daughter of Eldon Howard and Maxine (Hodges) Cassady, was born December 12, 1955 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. She lived in Newton her entire life and graduated from Newton High School.

Gay was united in marriage with Bill Warner on July 13, 1991 in Adel. She worked as a nurse’s aide at area nursing homes for 25 years. More recently she and Bill owned rental properties in Newton.

Gay was a talented interior decorator and also enjoyed landscaping and working in the yard. Gay is survived by her husband, Bill Warner of Newton and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Debbie and Kelly.
