Obituary for Teresa Soucy WOLCOTT- Teresa (Lachance) Soucy, 86, formerly of Wolcott, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at VITAS unit St. Mary’s Hospital on Tuesday, April 24rd. Born in Madawaska, ME on May 17, 1931, daughter of the late Edmond and Laura (Martin) Lachance. In the late 1960’s she was the owner of Terry’s Diner in Wolcott which later became Bill and Sam’s Diner.

She was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed cooking, painting, gardening, crocheting, knitting and loved animals. She also loved to recite the rosary with and watch Mother Angelica on EWTN.

She is survived by a daughter Carol and her husband Fred Nadeau of Bristol, a granddaughter Kristin D’Amico of Salem, CT, three nieces, Donna whom she raised, and her husband Brian Caouette of Wolcott, Arlene Rinaldi, whose husband was the late Richard Rinaldi of Bristol, Rita Pelletier and her husband Ron, three nephews Joe and his wife Diane Lachance, Bert Lachance and John Lachance all of Maine, several great nieces and nephews including a great nephew Jason Rinaldi of Bristol. She was predeceased by a husband Aurele “Al” Cote and a sister Anita Daigle and a brother Wilfred Lachance. Teresa’s family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Wolcott View Manor and VITAS at St. Mary’s Hospital for their compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Church 62 St. Michael Drive, Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
