Obituary for Thomas E. Adix Print Thomas E. Adix, 86, of Albin, Wyoming, died Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was born June 13, 1932 in Boone, Iowa and lived in Wyoming for the rest of his life. He enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War where he served as one of the last ferriers and mule packers in the military.

He saw duty at Camp Hale in Colorado. He worked at the Husky Refinery as an operator and shift foreman for 40 years in both Cody and Cheyenne, receiving many accolades and promotions before retiring. In 1981, he received recognition for 25 years of refinery service.

Mr. Adix was very active for his entire life shoeing horses and mules. Along with helping start high school rodeo in the State of Wyoming, he was ranch foreman for the extensive Buchanan Ranch in Cody. He also loved to farm and raise hay on his ranch in Cody and Pine Buffs.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Veronica Adix of Pine Bluffs; sister, Margaret Cross of Crescent City; brother-in-law, Sherrill Moses of La Mirada; mother, Jenny Ritter of Cody; and father, Harold Adix of Cody. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Beck and husband, Ron, of Albin; granddaughter, Reata Beck of Albin; and his sister, Catherine Moses of La Mirada. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pine Bluffs Cemetery with a memory service to immediately follow at the Albin Baptist Church at 11:30 a.m. To send flowers to the family of Thomas E.
