Thomas Edward Banks, 72 of Export passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. He was born December 25, 1945 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Elizabeth Virginia Banks. Tom graduated from Penn Hills High School.

After high school, he served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh as an Engineer. Tom worked for Westinghouse in Monroeville with over 30 years of service until his retirement.

He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. Tom enjoyed watching football and baseball and also was an avid reader. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Christine Onochowski Banks; a son, Thomas Z. (Stacey) Banks of Jeannette and a sister, Patty Banks Clark of Delaware.

A private entombment will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville with military honors accorded by the United States Army. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Tom’s name. www.
