Obituary for Thomas W. Hark Thomas W. Hark, 73, of Wapakoneta, died 5:09 a.m., Wed. , October, 17, 2018, at the Wapakoneta Manor. He was born March 9, 1945, in Lima, OH, the son of Wilfred J. & Gertrude (Mershman) Hark, who preceded him in death.
On April 7, 1986, he married Linda K. (Steinecker) Fisher-Hark, who survives. Other survivors include, 3 children, Thomas J. (Laura) Hark, Fort Jennings, OH, Roberta D. (Dean) Vance, Columbus, OH, Shelley (Bill) Heilshorn, Columbus, OH, 2 step-children, Milissa Fisher (Dale) Steinke, Wapakoneta, William (Kellie) Fisher, Wapakoneta, 7 grandchildren, Brandon & Haley Thornborough, Garrett & Derek Hark, Hayden, Sawyer, Truman, & Quincy Heilshorn, 3 step-grandchildren, William (Jessica) Rosenbeck, Michael (Hanna) Rosenbeck, Ryan Rosenbeck, 2 step-great grandchildren, Layla Rosenbeck, Bronson Rosenbeck, a sister, Dorothy Utendorf, Columbus, OH, 4 nieces, Laura Utendorf (Rick) Bornheimer; Anne Utendorf, Marcy Utendorf (Mike) Trask, Barbara Utendorf (Ed Silva) a nephew, Davis Trask, Tom was a self-employed Real Estate Appraiser. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He was a member of the Companions of the Precious Blood, as well as active in many parish functions; Fourth of July Festival, bingo, and chapel. Tom was a combat veteran during Vietnam of the U.S. Army and the Ohio National Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and fishing and shooting.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Mon. October 22, 2018, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, Fr. Sean Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta, where military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post 8445. The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m., Sunday, at the Long & Folk Chapel of Eley Funeral Home, 13 South Blackhoof St. Wapakoneta. Memorials may be directed to the Activities Fund at the Wapakoneta Manor.
