Thomas W. Vire, 71, of Shelburn, IN passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Terre Haute, IN June 1, 1947 the son of Thomas Vire and Eileen Wilson Vire. Tom was a Vietnam Army Veteran, a member of the Sullivan American Legion Post 139, and a member of several Antique Machinery Clubs, Portland, Oblong and Evansville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, also a brother, Dale Vire and a sister, Toni Vire. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Deb Wyman Vire whom he married on January 9, 1970, one son, Thad Vire of Shelburn, IN and a daughter, Jamie Vire Ladson of Shelburn, IN, three brothers, Henry Vire (Kathy) of Farmersburg, IN, Dan Vire (Terri) of Sullivan, IN, Tim Vire (Lisa) of Hymera, IN, six sisters, Sharon Bricky of Farmersburg, IN, Brenda Orndorff of Shelburn, IN, Christina Banfield (Dave) of St. Augustine, FL, Barbara Moore of Terre Haute, IN, Bella Rollings (Mike) of McDonough, GA, Ruth Nickless of Farmersburg, IN, and Bonnie Spencer (Daryl) of Sulfur Springs, TX, six grandchildren, Thad Vire Jr., Wyatt Vire, Izik Vire Lexi Vire, Lane McCammon and Lincoln McCammon, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, IN.

Burial will follow in the Nyes Chapel Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legion Posts and the Sullivan VFW Post. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday, September 6, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, IN. .
