Obituary of Thomas Laubacher Thomas “Tom” Richard Laubacher died July 3, 2018. Tom was born in Akron, Ohio, January 5, 1944 and attended St. Mary’s in Akron all 12 years. He served in the U.S. Navy, worked at the Firestone Bank and retired in 2006 from Morgan Adhesives in Stow after 33 years.

He loved fishing, gardening, casinos, traveling and meeting new people, asking them where they were from and visiting with them. Tom was a member of St. Eugene’s Catholic Church, where he was a collection counter and Eucharistic minister. He volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Food Bank and was an avid recycler all his life.

Tom was a very giving man and never thought of himself, his family was everything to him. Preceded in death by his parents Richard and Kathryn (nee Raasch) Laubacher. He leaves his loving wife of 50 years, Lillian; his wonderful loving children, Michael Laubacher and Jean (Troy) Maxwell.

Tom had a very special relationship with his grandchildren Matt (Bethaney) Maxwell and Melissa (Brandon Weese) Maxwell; and his great-granddaughters Ella and Emma Maxwell; sisters Rita (Ray) Lee, and Marie (Tim) Canan; brother John (Nancy) Laubacher; brothers-and-sisters-in-law Larry (Marianne) Burris, David (Kathy) Burris, Paul Burris, and Anne Raggi; family members Marianne Balluh and Pam Levandowski; friends Fuzzy and Diane Helton; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many, many friends. Thanks to the V.A. (PACT) team and Hospice of the Western Reserve for their wonderful care. Visitation will be held Sunday 2 to 5 PM at Redmon Funeral Home.

Mass of the Christian burial Monday, 11 AM at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, 44221. Donations may be made to the family.
