Obituary for Timothy Earl Walters Timothy Earl Walters, age 61, of Wooster, formerly of Orrville, AKA “Laurie’s Everything”, “Pops”, and “Grampie”, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 17, 2018, as a result of an injury at work that took him suddenly. Tim was born on June 30, 1956, in Canton, to Earl “Walt” and Betty (Gladfelter) Walters and graduated from Orrville High School (Wayne County Career Center) in 1974. He met his wife, Laurie M. (Wiebe) Walters at the age of 17 at the vocational school and they were married nearly 43 years ago on August 2, 1975, in Orrville.

They enjoyed muscle cars and when they met, Tim had a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner and Laurie had a 1968 AMC Javelin. They also enjoyed watching NASCAR and Tim was a big Jeff Gordon fan. They bird watched, especially eagles, and they did lots of projects around the house together.

He was a loving husband and they were never apart except for his work. In 1978 they welcomed their first child, Lance and in 1980 their daughter Katie was born. He worked from the age of 16 and was a mechanic and equipment operator for Lytle Construction in Wooster, his home away from home, for 38 years until its close.

He then worked as a mechanic for Paradise Lawn Care in Smithville for the last 3 years. Tim’s ability to make everyone laugh, feel comfortable, and secure, were his greatest strengths. People smiled a lot when he was around and he was a fix-it guy for everyone who knew him.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 42 years, Laurie, are his mother, Betty Walters of Tennessee; son, Lance (Shauna) Walters of Wooster; daughter, Katie (David) Miller of Apple Creek; five grandchildren and the stars in Tim’s eyes, Kiersten Miller, Lacey Walters, Madalyn Miller, Brandon Walters, and Josslyn Miller; two sisters, Linda Sand, and Carol (David) Pyle; uncle, Harry (Judy) Walters of Kidron; his dog, Bella; and rescue cat, Moonpie. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl “Walt” Walters, and father-in-law, Clarence Wiebe. Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 21, 2018, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1556 Rex Drive, Orrville, with Rev.

Dr. David Rittgers officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville. Friends may call on Monday at the church, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, prior to the service.
