Obituary for Esther Pearl Bacan Esther Pearl Bacan, age 71, of Orrville, died Sunday, May 13, 2018, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a period of declining health. Esther was born on May 16, 1946, in Rennovo, Pennsylvania, to Joseph and Madelene (Wagner) Harvey and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Allegheny County, PA in 1965. She married George Bacan on November 5, 1965, in Jefferson Boro, PA.

George survives. She worked for Bowman Cleaners in Orrville and Doylestown for over 20 years. Esther enjoyed reading and writing poetry, and was published in the Smithsonian for a poem about JFK.

She also enjoyed playing solitaire, singing and music. She loved children, flowers, the color yellow and seeing deer. She especially loved to hear about her grandchildren and their lives.

She loved her husband, George, unconditionally, and enjoyed attending garage sales and flea markets with him. Surviving in addition to her husband are her son, John M. (Sue-anne) Bacan of Parkland, FL; two grandchildren, Doran and Tyler Bacan; niece, Cathy Bacan of Orrville; brother, Joe Harvey of WA; and two sisters, Brandy (Dennis) Hollin, and Joyce Maglet, both of PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant children, James Paul, Katherine Lyn, Dammon Mikle, David Stephan, and Madilene Irene Bacan; brothers, Carl, Robert, Charles and James Harvey; and sisters, Judith Burkholder and Mary Helen Fitzpatrick,.

Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, with Pastor Evan Fischer officiating. Friends may call on Thursday at the funeral home, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, prior to the service. Casual attire will be appreciated.
