Obituary for Mary Ann Weigele Mary Ann Weigele, 77, of Rittman, formerly of Toledo, died on Memorial Day, May 28, 2018 surrounded by loved ones and passed away peacefully to meet her Lord. She was born August 26, 1940 in Toledo to the late Warren and Lois (Schlatter) Newman and lived most of her life in Toledo before moving to the Rittman area. Mary Ann graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1958 and from the Toledo School of Nursing in 1961.

She married Al Weigele on July 29, 1962 and they have been happily married for 56 years. She retired from Toledo Hospital following a 30 year nursing career as a NICU nurse. She had many fond memories of caring for medically fragile newborns.

She was a devoted member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Toledo and Akron. She was baptized in 1961 and the joy of her life was her family, church and her love for the Lord. Mary Ann volunteered at Camp Cricket and the United Way Campaigns in Toledo.

She also enjoyed a lifetime of travel to many places throughout the world and she loved to share memories and photos of all their adventures. Surviving is her husband, Al; daughters, Kristi (James) Warshawski of Santa Fe, NM and Julie (Todd) Schultz of Hudson; grandchildren, Dr. Justin Wareham of Oklahoma City, OK, Elise and Remy Schultz both of Hudson; brothers, Kenneth and James Newman both of Toledo; and sister, Karen (Dennis) Labadie of Traverse City, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Akron Apostolic Christian Church, 2360 S. Medina Line Rd. , Wadsworth, OH with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Apostolic Christian Church building fund, 3011 Marvin Ave. , Toledo, OH 43606.
