Obituary for Lonnie Dean Hochstetler Lonnie Dean Hochstetler, age 73, of Wooster, formerly of Orrville, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Wayne County Care Center in Wooster, following a period of declining health. Lonnie was born on September 30, 1944, in Wooster, Ohio, to Dean and Bonnie (Hochstetler) Hochstetler and graduated from Orrville High School in 1963. He worked as a farmer, carpenter, and over-the-road truck driver.

Most recently he enjoyed driving for the Amish. Lonnie was a member of Grace Church in Wooster where he enjoyed mission trips and was also a member of the Wednesday Night Rook Club. He lived a simple life and enjoyed working and helping fill the needs of others.

Even in his last months at the nursing home, he was always looking out for the welfare of his neighbors, and was loved by all who knew him. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are seven children, Tami Roberts of AZ, Doreen (Matt) Livingston of AZ, Angela (David) Earley of Wooster, Lonnie N. (Amy) Hochstetler of AZ, Chad Hochstetler of Shreve, OH, Heather Hochstetler of Loudonville, and Dean C. (Mandy) Hochstetler of TX; 22 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Jean Geiser of Kidron; four brothers, Dave (Anita) Hochstetler of Orrville, Dennis (Mindy) Hochstetler of Orrville, Steven (Teri) Hochstetler of Orrville, and Jeffrey (Janice) Hochstetler of Rittman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Harry and Helen Hochstetler. Services will be held at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, on Saturday May, 5th, at 5:00p.m., with Pastor Steve Kern officiating. Friends may call on Saturday, May, 5th at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Online registry and expressions of condolence may be made at the funeral home’s web site at www.
