Tina’s Obituary “Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality”. Emily Dickinson. Memorial Services celebrating the life of Tina Carol Dodson will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 6:30 pm at Christ Church of Duson, 8827 Cameron St., Duson, LA.

Tina Carol Dodson, 58, formerly of New Boston, TX, passed away Saturday, March 16 2019, peacefully at home in Erath, LA. Tina was born to the late Thomas and Virginia Sowell, February 9, 1961, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Tina married the love of her life Lawrence Dodson on July 11, 1977 they were married almost 42 years.

Tina and Lawrence relocated from Texas to Erath, LA to be close to their three children Lawren Dodson, Justin Dodson, and Nicole Perro. Tina is survived by her loving husband Lawrence Dodson, her three children: Lawren Dodson, Justin Dodson, Nicole Perro, and her beloved son-in-laws Rodney Perro and Brandon Fobbs; six grandchildren, of which she was most proud to be their Maw-Maw, Kiersten Perro, Ryan Fobbs, Kayleigh Perro, Kayleigh Perro, Ryleigh Fobbs, Kynlee Perro and Rodney Perro III (Tripp); sister Sharon Ridings and brother Richard Sowell of Austin, TX. In addition Tina leaves behind her beloved in laws, nieces, nephews, and her great nieces and nephews whom she loved.

Tina was a very proud wife, mother, and grandmother. Tina always enjoyed cheering on her children and grandchildren. Tina was always there for her children’s events and milestones as her health declined being there presently may have changed to remotely BUT she was there.

Tina leaves behind many beautiful memories and while we are sad that she has left this earth physically we know she is now in a better place and always with us. Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I will continue to make you proud Mom.
