Tom’s Obituary Tom Norquist, age 70, a resident of Williams Bay, WI, died Friday, January 18, 2019, at The Bay at Burlington in Burlington, WI. He was born October 30, 1948 in Peoria, IL. Tom cared deeply about his relationship with Christ and living out his faith.

It was the cornerstone of his life and he wanted to be known as someone who pointed others to Christ. He was a special education teacher at District 63 in Niles, IL for many years. He coached and mentored students in both volleyball and wrestling.

He was a camp director and building and grounds supervisor at Jay’s Camp in Long Grove, IL. As a member for many years of Bethel Church, he was Sunday School Superintendent, AWANA Commander, Sound Technician, Custodian, Kitchen Staff and Assistant to the ARK Producer, where he portrayed the character of “Psalty”, the Singing Song Book. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathleen Fay; three children, Mark Thomas (Mary) of Antioch, IL, Leah Kathleen (Eric) Kelso of Williamsburg, VA and Tory Jay of Mundelein, IL; six grandchildren, Christian Norquist, and Bryce, Brennan and Brielle Kelso, and Mason and Anderson Norquist; two brothers, Jerald (Carolyn) and Stanley (Dolor) Norquist; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Dorothy Norquist. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bethel Community Church, 7601 W. Foster Ave. , in Chicago, IL where a funeral service will be held the next day on Wednesday, January 23, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Fairview Memorial Park in Northlake, IL.
