She grew up with her parents and brother, Gary, in Chicago, Illinois. Sherry graduated from Steinmetz High School and Moody Bible Institute.

She married Donald White of Villa Park in 1957. Sherry accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at age thirteen and was active in HI-C and Youth for Christ ministries. In 1966, she and Don and their four children went to Austria with Greater Europe Mission to serve in church planting.

The couple spent 38 years in Austria, and after their retirement served short-term in Austria and Czech Republic. Sherry loved to encourage people with her gift of hospitality. She was happiest when she served others.

If she did have some free time she loved to read and to do crafts of all kinds. Sherry is survived by her brother, Gary (Barbara) Dausey, her sons Daniel, Timothy (Jennifer), and James (Jill); and daughter, Deborah (Gregory) Nichols. Her seven living grandchildren are Jonah, Nicolas, Connor, Jeremy, Selina, Katya and Marika.

She is now with her mother and father, husband, and grandson Colton in heaven. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave. , West Chicago, IL.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Private interment will be held at Arlington Cemetery in Elmhurst. Memorials may be directed to the Wheaton Bible Church Missions Fund or Moody Bible Institute. Information and guest book are available at www.
