Tommy’s Obituary Tommy R. Martin 74 of Decatur Ohio went to his Heavenly home on Sunday May 12 2019 at the VA Medical Center, Chillicothe. Tommy was born September 25th, 1944, the son of the late Otis and Clara Martin. He was preceded in death by his sister Gloria Jean Fulk.

He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars & The American Legion. Tommy served his Country & was a very proud Veteran of the US Army, he served in Vietnam as a Supply Clerk. He was also a very proud father of his 2 children that also served in the US Army.

Tommy is survived by his daughter, Teresa Rodriguez (Ricardo) of San Antonio, Texas, his son Scott (Candy) Martin of Stout, Ohio & his brother Eddie (Paula) Martin of Lexington KY. Tommy also had 4 grandchildren Kayla, Whitney, Anthony & Tyler. Tommy also had 4 great grandchildren & 3 nephews.

Tommy is also survived by some very special children that he had raised, Roberta (Chris Carter) of Barboursville, Rebecca (Bill Cole) of Minford Ohio and Brian (Rhonda) of Portsmouth, Ohio. With these children, Tommy also had 12 grandchildren. Tommy’s family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the Chillicothe VA Medical for the excellent care of our father.

Funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday May 18, 2019 at Phillips Funeral Home with Don Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhorn cemetery, with military graveside rites provided by James Dickey Post 23 – American Legion. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
