Tonyan Jefferson, age 55, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Methodist Hospital – Northlake Campus in Gary, IN. She was born to Earl Jefferson and Delores Jefferson on October 22, 1962 in Gary, IN. Tonyan attended Frobel High School.

She accepted Christ at an early age. Tonyan later began attending Washington Street Church of God under the leadership of Pastor Mike Dotson. He was at her bedside as she made her transition back home to Christ.

Preceded in death by her mother, Delores Jefferson; father, Earl Jefferson, Sr.; nephews, Edward Jefferson and Earl Jefferson; special friends, Grace Allen and Robert Lee. Tonyan leaves to continue her legacy; two daughters, Sammetra Saines and Tiyanna (Robert Eatman) Jefferson; one son, Ulice Jefferson; two granddaughters, Camille Ferguson and Moriah Eatman; one grandson, Mason Eatman; sisters, Beverly, Theresa, Mary Ann Elmore, Rhonda Gordy, Grace Abram and Antoinette Roody; one brother, Earl Jefferson; niece/daughter, Charlotte Jefferson; best friends, Tonja House and Charles Saines; a host of other nieces, nephews, and loving family members and precious friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. in the Main Chapel at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 (219) 980-5555.

Interment will be private. Tonyan will be dearly missed by her loving family and precious friends. God Grant Her Eternal Peace.
