Obituary for Treva Nell Kerns Treva Nell Kerns, a resident of Sulphur was born November 11, 1938 in Sulphur, OK to Leonard & Nellie Naomi (Parker) Monger. She passed away Thursday July 19, 2018 at McAlester, OK at the age of 79 years 8 months and 8 days. She was married to Gary Kerns at Durant, OK on June 29, 1978.

She had lived in this area all of her life where she graduated from Sulphur High School in 1957. She had worked at the hospital, at an upholstery shop, and various other jobs, before working as a legal secretary for Reed-Hurst-McNeil Law Firm. She attended the First Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Jean Basile, step-son:James Edward Kerns, daughter-in-law: Teresa Diane Bowen. Survived by her Husband: Gary Kerns, of Sulphur, OK Daughter & son-in-law: Twilah Monroe & Jeffrey, of McAlester, OK Son: James “Tony” Bowen, of Sulphur, OK 5 Grandchildren: Rylee Monroe, Presley Monroe, Kimberly Watson Nicole Tubbs, April Maxon Services will be held Monday July 23, 2018 at 10:00AM Graveside at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood,OK officiated by Rev. Bill Leveridge.
