Memorial service for Mrs. Velda Lynn Lambert, 66, of Big Sandy will be held 2:00 P.M, Saturday July 14, 2018, at Hopewell Methodist Church. Mrs. Lambert passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 in Tyler. Lynn was born on October 31, 1951 in Diboll, TX to the late Velda Laverne (Parker) & James Miles Weatherford.

After marrying, they lived in Dallas, Texas before moving to San Francisco, Ca. for David’s career in the newspaper industry, and then Phoenix, Az. Due to the untimely death of David’s father, they moved from Phoenix to Big Sandy, TX to help care for Lynn’s mother-in-law.

Lynn was a wife, mother, sister and daughter. Her happiest time was spent taking care of her family as a stay at home mom. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and crafting.

She will be greatly missed by many friends and family members. Lynn is preceded in death by her loving husband David, her parents Laverne & James Weatherford, younger brother Ronnie Miles Weatherford and grandparents, David & Norma Parker, and James and Janie Weatherford. Mrs. Lamberts was a devoted wife and mother and in her spare time she loved crafting.

She will be greatly missed by many friends and family members. Lynn is survived by her children, Daughters, Chrissy Lambert, Kelly & son in law Rashad Smith and son, Alex Lambert all from Rosewood, grandchildren Devyn McLean, Kinaah & Kieralyn Smith; Sister Deborah Wood and brother-in-law Bryan Wood of Dallas, Nieces & Nephews Nicole & Chris Will, Tracy Galvan, Greg & Brooke Day and their families, all from the Dallas Area.
