Obituary for Mr. James Dale Russell Sr. Graveside services for James Dale Russell Sr, 64, of Gilmer will be held 11am Friday, July 6, 2018 at Gladewater Memorial Park with Jack Hoffpauir officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, July 5th at McWhorter Funeral Home. James was born to David Russell Sr and Ida Lois Gaines Russell on October 13, 1953 in Bossier City, Louisiana and passed away July 2, 2018 in Gilmer.

He worked for Gilmer ISD in the maintenance department and as a bus driver. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Jill Russell; children, Chris Morrison, Scot “Rooster” Russell, James Russell Jr, Christy Cavines, and James Patrick Russell; brothers and sister in law’s, David & Paula Russell, Clifford & Pat Russell, and Charles Russell; grandchildren, Meredith Morrison, Keely Russell, Kylen Russell, Ryder Russell, Cody Coleman, Colton Caviness, and John Caviness.
