Mr. Patterson will be interred in the National Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee at a later date. James was born February 12, 1946 to Walter Eugene and Mary Louise Pryon Patterson in Tampa, Florida and passed away October 22, 2018 in Gilmer, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Patterson; son, Michael Patterson; daughters, Sheila Canada and Bernnadette Patterson; son, Raymond Hardin; daughters, Lisa Borzillo and Gina Nix. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Claire Canada and Jacob “Jake” Patterson. Mr. Patterson is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather and by his sister, Judy McKinny.
