Obituary for Bubba Wetzel Funeral services for Bubba Wetzel, 53, of Pittsburg, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018 in the chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Dotson and Bro. Tim Parker officiating.

Interment will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at McWhorter Funeral Home. Bubba was born on November 26, 1964 in Winnsboro, Texas to Raymond and Carolyn Marie Overstreet Wetzel and passed from this life on November 5, 2018 in Tyler, Texas.

Bubba was one of a kind. He loved his family, country and was proud to be a Wetzel! He will be missed by many and our lives are forever changed.

Bubba taught us a lot in the last few hours of his life. I learned that no matter how broken or shaken our lives have become God always opens his arms and welcomes us home when we accept him as our Lord and Savior. He is living it up in Heaven and was greeted by so many that had gone before him.

Bubba is survived by his son, David Larue; daughter, Danielle Attaway; brother, Gary Dale Wetzel; sister, Virginia Pearson; his parents, Raymond and Carolyn Wetzel; and by his grandmother, Talma Overstreet. Pallbearers will be Danny Watkins, Carl Nelson, Mike Umbaugh, Mark Glexner, Graham Orr, David Raley, John Doubt, Wayne Williams and Greg Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Koe Wetzel, Aaron Pearson, Chad Pearson, Anthony Nelson, Reese Nelson, John Thomas Dieshler, Heith Mitchell, Milton Earl Wetzel, Jeremy Byrd, Kody Keith, Mike Powell, Kerry Powell, Johnny Wetzel, Jr. and Billy Wetzel.
