Obituary for David L. Reed Funeral services for David L. Reed, 66, of Gilmer will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2018 at McWhorter Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, at McWhorter Funeral Home. David was born on November 27, 1951 in Sherman, Texas to Charles Melvin and Georgia Dixie Smith Reed and passed from this life on November 23, 2018 in Rosewood, Texas. David married Teresa Lynn Todd in June of 1984 and she preceded him in death in 2017.

He worked in customer service for 30 years for Walmart in Gilmer. David was a member of Rosewood Baptist Church. David truly loved his family including his children and grandchildren, church family and his Walmart family.

David is survived by his children, son; David Lynn Reed; daughter, Georgianna Burch; daughter, Patricia Ann Ball; grandchildren, Dixie Lynn Reed, Graham Alan Burch, Kaylee Ball and Madison Ball.
