Verna “Lorene” Liposchak, 98 Youngstown – Verna “Lorene” Liposchak, 98, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 22, 2019 at Omni Manor Health Care Center with her loving family by her side. Verna, known by her family and friends as “Lorene”, was born November 12, 1920 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Earl and Lillian (Flavien) Stroup. She graduated from Struthers High School and was a lifelong area resident.

Lorene was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Boardman, AARP and St Nicholas Seniors Citizens. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Mike (Elizabeth) Liposchak, John (Barbara) Liposchak, Bob (Carolyn) Liposchak and Paul (Bonnie) Liposchak; John (Diana) Carroll Jr., Sue Carroll, Deb (Bill) Lovell, Tom (Holly) Fender and Bill (Chris) Fender; two great nieces, Mary Elizabeth (Michael) Jessko, Ann Marie (Ron) Sudol and a great nephew, Joe (Whitney) Lovell and her dog, GiGi. Besides her parents, Lorene was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Watkins, Jack Riddle and Robert Liposchak; a brother, Earl (Ruth) Stroup, Jr. and three sisters, Jackie (Fritz) Daley, Shirley (Bill) Fender and Barbara (John) Carroll; a nephews Robert Carroll, and a niece Patricia (John) Stanko, and a great nephew, Billy Lovell, Jr., There will be funeral services on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11:00 am at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive with Pastor Bob Quaintance officiating.

Family and friends may call one hour prior the service at the church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contribution to the Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512 in memory of Lorene.
