Youngstown – Rose M. DelSignore, 89, of Youngstown, died early Wednesday morning, January 16, 2019 at the Assumption Village in North Lima, Ohio. Rose was born Dec. 1, 1929 in Youngstown, to Antonio and Jennie DelFraino Fossaceca, and had been a lifelong area resident.

Rose graduated from East High School in 1947, married Arthur A. DelSignore in 1950, and lived as a devoted wife, and mother in Struthers raising her five children for many years. Rose always dressed with impeccable style and did everything with perfection whether it was painting at Grist Studio, working at Klamer’s Bakery, Strouss’, Kaufmann’s, Gantos, Steinmart or just being a homemaker, sewing, ballroom dancing and her artwork. Rose was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Youngstown and its’ Mothers of the Crucifix Society.

She is survived by four of her loving children, Chester “Chet” (Kary) DelSignore of Chattanooga, Tenn. , Linda (Jerry) DelSignore-Martin of Las Vegas N.V., Marie E. DelSignore-Brickley of Boardman, Ohio, and Timothy M. DelSignore of Youngstown, Ohio. Rose also leaves three grandchildren, Nikki L. Martino of Las Vegas, Damon T. Brickley of Youngstown, and Grayson DelSignore of Chattanooga.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents and husband, dear brother Salvatore (Sam) Fossaceca, her younger sister Phyllis Saunders, and her youngest son Thomas A. DelSignore. Rose’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the staff at Assumption Village for the wonderful care provided to Rose. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica with the Very Rev.

Msgr. Michael Cariglio Jr. officiating. Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church.
