In the early morning hours of Friday, March 15, 2019, Vicki Duncan Curtis, age 76, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away at Mission Hospital-McDowell. The son of the late Paul and Verlie Roberson Duncan, Vicki was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on July 13, 1942. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Samuel David Winchester.

Having had an enjoyment for cooking, Vicki loved to prepare food for family gatherings. Very musically inclined, she enjoyed to sing and write songs along with poetry. Vicki will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Lee Winchester; two brothers, James Malone Duncan (Nancy) and Ernest Ransom Duncan; two grandchildren, Tyanna Wilson (Chris) and Brittany Winchester; and two great grandchildren, Brayden Lee Winchester and Colton Lee Smith. Also surviving are five nieces, Sharon Bowman (Sam), Arlene Fields, Robin Fields, Paula Tarneski and Kristy Duncan; and two nephews, Stephen Duncan and Terry Duncan. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service with Pastor T.J. Robinson officiating.
