Charlotte Jean Sparks, age 76, of Marion, North Carolina passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville. A native of McDowell County, Charlotte was born on July 8, 1942 to the late Robert and Jessie Parker Sparks. She is preceded in death by a son, William Yates Bennett.

Charlotte was a former member of Parkers Chapel Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was faithful to her Bible reading and prayers. She put others before herself.

Charlotte was a loving and devoted mother and will be dearly missed. Left to cherish her memories are three children, Betty Jimison (Jeff), Mary Harris (Robert) and Jimmie Ray; and one brother, Arnold Sparks. Also surviving Charlotte are eight grandchildren, Jamie Becotte, Jennifer Rief, Robert Harris, Dustin Hudson, Andrew Hudson, Heather Jimison, Kimberly Jimison and Savannah Jimison and twelve great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate Charlotte’s life will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Beam Funeral Service with Mr. Jim Rhinehart officiating. The family will receive from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place following the service at Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
