Viola Sealey Knight age 85 of Cerro Gordo passed on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at her residence. Final rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Porter Swamp Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday until time of the service. She was a member of Porter Swamp Baptist and was a homemaker and also worked along with her husband, Tillman Knight, Jr. in their business, Knight’s Custodial Service. She was the daughter of the late Lela Fairfax Sealey and Pasley Samuel Sealey.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Neal Knight; a grandson, Timothy Jason Knight; eight siblings, Buddy Sealey, Talmadge Sealey, Oscar Sealey, Carl Sealey, Louise S. Bullard, Davis Sealey, Leola S. Norris and Bobby Gene Sealey (Infant); three half-brothers and a half-sister, Nora S. Graves, Hubert Sealey, Howard Sealey and Robert Sealey. To cherish her memories, she leaves her husband of 66 years, Tillman Knight, Jr of the home; two sisters, Mavis S. Cribb of Chadbourn and Ada Elkins of Whiteville; two grandchildren, Jeffery Neal Knight, II and Tyler Cole Knight. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.
