Viola Maxine Douglas, age 91 of Massillon, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 28, 2018. She was born on March 30, 1927 in Cherry Fork, WV and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Amelia (Spitler) Mallett. Maxine worked at and retired from MCA Sign Company.

She was a member of Crystal Springs Bow hunters Club and was a longtime member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Richard Douglas and her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Richard Todd. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Douglas, 4 grandchildren, Carol (John) Prunty, Ryan (Andrea) Risher, Justin (Megan) Deierling and Adam (Meredith) Deierling and 8 great grandchildren, Faith (Brock) Partlow, Sarah (Tim) Beard, Riley Risher, Rhiannon Risher, Jonathan Risher, Mitchell Deierling, Miranda Deierling, and Adelaide Deierling.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Pastor Cecil Thayer officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service (12 Noon- 1:00 p.m.) IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, CONTRIBUTIONS MAY BE MADE TO ASSIST THE FAMILY WITH FINAL EXPENSES.
