Cheryl Joy (“Sherry/ Nana”) Conder Freetage, 71, of Massillon, passed away on July 20, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 21, 1946 in Tucson, Arizona to the late James and Ruby (Gray) Conder. She is survived by her loving sons James P. Freetage and Jon (Jaime) Freetage; her four grandchildren James, Jordyn, Jonny and Jaycie; brother Terry Conder of Arizona; as well as numerous close, lifelong friends.

In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her brother Carlos and sister-in-law Sandy. Sherry was the best “Nana” ever. She most enjoyed time spent with her family and friends talking about her grandkids, playing in her card club of 45 years or trying to outscore you on a game of “Words with Friends”.

She unconditionally loved and served everyone who knew her. If you entered her home, there was always a place, always a cup of coffee and always a conversation to be had. A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 4-6p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.

A service will follow at 6 p.m. Sherry also had a place in her heart for all animals and they all loved her in return, so in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Sherry’s memory to the Stark County Humane Society, 5100 Peach St NE, Louisville, OH 44641.
