Bennettsville Mr. Virgil Bryant Chavis, 82, passed away May 17, 2018 at First Health Richmond. Born September 20, 1935 in Marlboro County, he was a son of the late Tyson Brooks & Meloise Brigman Chavis. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and loved working on cars.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory sisters, Betty Chavis & Mary Alice Lanthier both of Bennettsville; several stepchildren and step grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Burroughs Funeral Home followed by burial in Chavis Cemetery. The family will receive friends and hour prior to the service at Burroughs Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church PO Box 377, Wallace, SC, 29596. Burroughs Funeral Home is honored to serve the Chavis Family.
