Virginia A. Sinnes, age 34, passed away at her home in St. Joe, IL on Monday March 4, 2019. She was born July 11, 1984 to John W. Sinnes and Carol (Bersig) Sinnes. She was a graduate of Central High School and also attended Parkland College.

She worked for Premier Cooperative Grain Elevator in Sidney IL, Clark Lindsey Village Caring for the Elderly, and Reynolds Towing Service Dispatching which she loved. Virginia took total pride and joy from serving people in all aspects. Virginia had many interests including car racing, football (Packers), and was an avid reader with a love of movies.

Virginia enjoyed simple pleasures such as time spent with family and friends. She had a love of Christmas, her Fur-babies, and she loved all animals. She also had a deep respect and passion for those in the service field such as military, EMT, police, and especially the members of the fire departments.

Virginia was loved by all who knew her for her kindness compassion and unending selfless giving of herself. Everyone was always happy to see Virginia’s smile as she entered the room. Virginia is survived by her father: John W. Sinnes of St. Joe IL, her mother: Carol (Bersig) Sinnes and stepfather: Roger Bahrens of Rantoul IL, brothers: John G. Sinnes and Jared W. Sinnes, both of Urbana IL, half-sister: Lindsey M. Sinnes of Davenport IA, maternal uncle: Stephen Bersig of Seattle WA, maternal aunts: Debbie Bersig and spouse Norman Cooper of Champaign IL, Linda Webb and spouse Rick Seager of Arvada CO, Janet (Bersig) Charles and spouse Terry Charles of Champaign IL, and Peggy Bersig and spouse Lola Heim of Rantoul IL, and many other family members and beloved friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Owens Funeral Home, 101 N. Elm Street, Champaign IL. There will be a visitation from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Flowers are gladly accepted, and honorary donations can be made to the Sidney Fire Department 302 South David Street, Sidney, IL 61877, Champaign County Humane Society, 1911 East Main Street, Urbana, IL 61802, The American Cancer Society, P.O.
