Obituary for Virginia B. Collier Virginia B. Collier, 93, of Anderson, passed away on December 21, 2018. She was born on March 6, 1925 in Madison County, and resided most of her life in Anderson. Virginia graduated from Ball State Teachers College.

She taught elementary education with Anderson Community Schools, and retired in 1975 after 22 years of teaching. She was a past member of the Southdale Church of the Nazarene. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Connie; niece, Judy (William) Schutt; nephew, Jerry (Mary) Vanderhoof; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Also surviving is her half-sister, Mary McCelland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde F. Collier; father, Lewis Vanderhoof; mother, Jane Yunker; and brother, Leroy Vanderhoof. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN.

Services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Klinger officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
