Obituary for Virginia Jo Renfro (Lewis) Healdton – Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Jo Renfro, 95, are being held 2:00 PM, Monday, December 17, 2018 at the East Lincoln Street Church of Christ in Healdton, Oklahoma with Scott Renfro officiating. Interment will follow at Mount. Olive Cemetery in Healdton.

Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson. Virginia was born on January 12, 1923 in Healdton to the late Mr. Millard Fillmore (Joe) Lewis and Mrs. Rosabell (Holcomb) Lewis. She departed from this life on Thursday December 13, 2018 at the Wilson Nursing Center.

She was a member of the Church of Christ. Virginia married Mr. William C. Renfro on June 26, 1943 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and had 31 years of happy marriage. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Virginia and William lived in Bowlegs, Oklahoma when William became ill and passed away in 1974. She often spoke of meeting William (Bill) at her first job, taking tickets at Thompson’s Theater in Healdton. After marrying, she worked at Teel’s grocery in Healdton, Blue Bell in Seminole, Dillard’s in Oklahoma City and retired as a secretary for Dr. Wood in Seminole.

Virginia enjoyed square-dancing and loved entertaining family and friends, especially children and grandchildren. In her later years she enjoyed walking with and helping neighbors at the Village in Ardmore, OK. Also preceding her in death were her parents Rosabell Holcomb and Millard Fillmore (Joe) Lewis; two brothers, JB and Skeet Lewis along with a grandchild Paula Gore.

Survivors include her three children Cheryl Nickel of Buna, TX, Marilyn Gore and husband Norman of Fred, TX, and Bill Renfro and wife Donna of Wilson, OK; Grandchildren, Jimmy Nickel and wife Tammy of Duncan, OK, Karen Anderson of Orange, TX, Gina Biegalski and husband Pat of Fred, TX, Luanne Coward of Orange, TX, Norman Butch Gore Jr. of Bridge City, Texas, Scott Renfro and wife Amy of Wilson, OK and Susan Lyle and husband Brandon of Wilson, OK. ;16 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Casket Bearers will be Jimmy Nickell, Butch Gore, Brendan Gore, Erik Gore, Jacob Biegalski and Pat Biegalski.

Honorary Bearers are Scott Richard and Ryan Coward. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm, Sunday evening at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson. Condolences may be sent online at www.
